Storage King Morayfield

Total Construction was awarded the contract by Abacus Property Group for the design and construct of this Morayfield self storage facility. The project involved the construction of a four-storey building spanning an area of 9,458m2.

The project features concrete post-tensioned slabs with reinforced concrete columns, blockwork lift shafts and stairwells. The facility houses 725 storage units of varying sizes, served by two passenger lifts.

A comprehensive traffic management plan was developed to facilitate efficient deliveries and trade parking throughout the project.
During the tender process, Total Construction’s estimating team strategically focused on the structural design to enable the use of pad footings, avoiding the need for bored piers and thus optimising the project costs.

This project marked Total Construction’s 17th project for Storage King and our 7th collaboration with Abacus, demonstrating the strength and reliability of the partnerships – built on mutual trust and shared values.
