Storage King Lawnton
Project Overview
Total Construction successfully delivered a 3-storey Storage King self storage facility featuring steel cladding, post-tensioned slabs, and blockwork lift and stair shafts, along with an external hardstand car park. The building houses 434 storage units of varying sizes, catering to diverse storage needs. Its design incorporates articulated wall planes, ventilation louvres, feature display windows, ground floor roller doors, and an office and showroom space, all finished with Storage King’s corporate signage and landscaping.
Overcoming Challenges
Strategic planning was essential to manage the challenges posed by nearby infrastructure. A comprehensive traffic management plan was implemented, and close coordination with local transportation authorities and railway operators ensured there was no disruption to road and rail operations. These measures enabled the project to proceed smoothly and efficiently.
Innovations
The incorporation of an internal driveway into the storage facility design has enhanced both operational efficiency and security. This layout provides direct access to individual storage units, streamlining the movement of goods and reducing congestion at entry and exit points.
