National Storage Croydon

Total Construction completed the design and construction of this modern two-storey self storage facility for National Storage. Located in Croydon, Victoria, the site was a greenfield development with minimal excavation required.

The project involved the design and construction of a self storage facility spanning an area of 5,000m2 over two levels. The facility comprised a steel frame structure and roof, masonry cladding and two heavy duty goods lifts to service both levels. The facility also houses an administration area including a reception area, office, retail display room, kitchen and bathroom amenities.

This project embraced innovation and automation, including the installation of motorised roller doors at entry and exit driveways controlled by a secure access control system.

By integrating the structural steel and mezzanine floor trade packages, we are able to successfully deliver both time and cost savings for the client.

As the site was located in close proximity to other businesses, consistent and clear communication with neighbouring businesses and a detailed plan was paramount to ensure minimal disruption to their operations.
