Tip Top Bakery
Project Description
Total Construction has delivered key upgrades to Tip Top Bakeries facilities in Gateshead NSW, Slacks Creek QLD and Carrara QLD to support increased production volumes and operational efficiency.
The upgrades feature new production and packing rooms, a grain seed storage area, a wash station, and a structural steel mezzanine. The works spanned across 8 distribution lines and included the construction of a new distribution warehouse, installation of automated packaging and handling equipment, engineering workshop upgrades, and the addition of wash bays and crate washing equipment. These new spaces are primarily constructed using structural steel and PIR panels, topped off with a durable epoxy floor.
Prior to the fit-out, demolition work was essential, including cutting the existing slab and removing tilt-up panels. The project’s service enhancements include:
- HVAC System: Installation of new package units and evaporative coolers for improved climate control.
- Electrical: New lighting and power systems throughout the facility, along with a new Distribution Board.
- Hydraulics: Installation of necessary hydraulic services, including a new 5000L grease trap.
The site was transformed with new production and packing areas, enhanced workflow layouts and expanded support facilities. These changes aimed to streamline output while improving functionality across the operational areas.
Total Construction has also assisted with the relocation of a large silo currently located at the facility.
The team ensured the facility meets both hygiene and compliance standards.
