Project Description

Our client needed to establish new bottling lines on graded floor slabs with fresh epoxy finishes.

The 754m2 area needed to be drained with underground stainless steel pits and pipe work in lieu of the crude existing concrete trench drains crisscrossing the area.

Prior to the commencement of work, the client obtained town planning and building permits.

Programming and access co-ordination was agreed to in preparation for the works.

The need to share the working facility with the client and to keep any contact ‘food safe’ meant that the project needed to be cocooned from the surrounding manufacturing lines and operation.

This took the form of ceiling to floor shrouds (up to 9m high). No internal combustion motor operated equipment was allowed in the building.

The existing floor was sawn and removed, drains laid, slabs poured and after curing, epoxy applied.

Because of the nature of the client’s business, access was restricted and security needed to be maintained.
