OUR LADY OF CONSOLATION AGED CARE & SERVICES (OLOC) – STAGE 2

On 28th February TOTAL happily celebrated the topping out of our latest Mix Use Development at 74 Aurelia Street Toongabbie for Our Lady of Consolation Aged Care & Services Ltd (OLOC) – Stage 2. Project is $22M.

These works included Demolition of existing structures, construction of a 5 storey multi-unit residential building of 38 self-contained dwellings and 2 levels basement carpark.  When complete the complex will also house Ground Floor Medical Centre and Hydrotherapy Pool, a Level 1 Courtyard, and a Roof top landscaped terrace.

Our Lady of Consolation Aged Care & Services is a non-profit organisation owned by the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary who operate residential care plus a wide range of home care and home support services to over 2,000 people living in Western and North Western Sydney to the Western edge of the Blue Mountains.

OLOC Housing has a concern for older people who are in precarious accommodation situations because they have incomes at or below the level of the aged pension and they are renting in the private housing market.  Their latest Toongabbie complex operates as an affordable rental housing for seniors and Get Yourself Moving Programs; along with a range of allied health programs that aim to improve the strength, fitness and balance of older people living at home.

“OLOC strive to make a real difference in the lives of all those we serve”.

OLOC believe there are approximately 4,750 people 60 years of age and over in this precarious situation and we at TOTAL are very happy to play our part in helping OLOC in their pursuit and in doing so living up to our mission of

“making a positive difference in people’s lives through excellence in construction”.

The Aurelia Street Affordable rental accommodation for retired people living will be a short walk from shops, doctors, and public transport in Toongabbie.  These one- and two-bedroom Open plan living apartments combine generous proportions with contemporary style. The building is safe and secure with elevators, garages and residential levels that can only be accessed by intercom or by swipe key.

TOTAL thanks OLOC for this great opportunity.
