Cynthia Payne

Cynthia Payne has more than 30 years of executive leadership experience and over 20 years as a Director in both NFP and FP boards. Cynthia founded Anchor Excellence in September 2018, now three and a half years old, Anchor Excellence has impacted over 35% of the Australian aged care market via its programs, solutions, policies and education.

Passionate about leaders, supporting and enabling them and consumers’ lived experience, Cynthia and the fifteen strong AE team together have a formidable level of expertise and commitment to the entire aged care ecosystem.

Cynthia holds an MBA, Bachelor of Applied Science in Nursing. She is a Cert IV qualified Yoga teacher (800HrRYT) and certified practitioner of Balanced Scorecard. She is a seasoned public speaker and MC. She is MAICD, Fellow of the Governance Institute Australia and long term member of the Australian College of Nursing and Fellow of the Manager and Leaders Institute. She is Board adviser to Total Construction (2019 – current), Board advisor to PainChek (2022-current) and past NED for the National Heart Foundation (2017-2021), Current Independent review panel member for Business Excellence Australia.

Grant Corderoy

Grant Corderoy is the Senior Partner at StewartBrown and leads their Consulting division. Grant has a large and longstanding commitment and involvement with the aged care and community services sectors which spans across his 40 plus years of professional experience. He is highly respected within the sector and regularly contributes to the financial policy and sustainability direction of these sectors in consultation with the Department, peak bodies, providers and consumer advocates.

Brian Wong

Working within a national team focusing on the development and execution of the broader health sector strategy for CommBank Health, Brian’s role focuses on formulating and driving strategy, insights and lending appetite for the Seniors Living sector. The Seniors Living sector includes the Aged Care, Retirement Villages and Land Lease Communities sectors covering the full spectrum of corporates, financial sponsors and not for profits. Based in Sydney, Brian has 15 years of banking experience having worked in a variety of roles across CBA, Westpac and HSBC with a focus on strategy, credit risk management, transaction structuring and business development on domestic and international transactions.

Natasha Chadwick

Natasha Chadwick is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of NewDirection Care®, an innovative privately-owned organisation which has created the world’s first inclusive MICRO TOWN® Aged Care community.  

A pioneer in the Australian Aged Care industry, Natasha is passionate about changing the way we care for our elderly members of society and those living with dementia, including younger onset dementia, not just in Australia but worldwide.

This desire took her on a mission to invent an alternative to traditional institutional settings to provide an innovative change to residential care.

Natasha was awarded the innovAGEING – Aged Services Innovator of the Year 2021 and the prestigious 2019 Australian Business Women of the Year at the Telstra Business Women Awards. An ode to her work in Aged Care, innovating and rewriting Australian’s Aged Care as we know it. Natasha also took home the 2019 Medium to Large Business category award. The win came after coming in strong at the state awards – achieving the 2019 Telstra Queensland Business Woman of the Year and in the Medium to Large Business Category.

James Heeks

James joined Bupa Villages and Aged Care Australia in 2016 as the national property development manager. With a broad depth of experience in the property development sector James has worked on diverse projects in the construction and property development sector for over 25 years.

 James is passionate about creating Villages and Care homes for residents, their families and the teams that work in them that exceed their needs and expectations. As part of his role he strongly advocates for improving the sustainability profile of the aged care sector.

 Prior to joining Bupa James consulted to Aged care and Independent living organisations specialising in all parts of the project delivery process, from design, contracting, project delivery and commissioning

Judy Martin 

Judy commenced her career as a Registered Nurse and has over 25 years of clinical experience in various areas of health including Aged Care Management.

Judy has managed & established a number of Australian Government programs in the Health, Seniors Living, and Community services sector. Previously a board member of a large Community Service/ Aged Care Provider and currently Chair of the Global Ageing Network (based in Washington) Judy is also a founding Board Director of Commonwealth Association of Ageing (CommonAge) the, Aged Care, industry Association for the Commonwealth.

Judy worked with ThomsonAdsett as National and International Business Development Manager in the Health and Seniors Living disciplines responsible for progressing national and international seniors living and health development markets and linkages.  

An initiative she is very proud of is the internationally recognized and respected Seniors Living industry study tour program “SAGE”.  Judy has managed and lead these programs for over 25 years and has visited and studied over 300 aged care homes and organisations across the globe.
