TOTAL HammondCare Miranda Official Opening Ceremony

 

TOTAL cuts the ribbon at the official opening of HammondCare’s new flagship aged care facility located in Miranda, Sydney’s Sutherland Shire.

TOTAL is proud to be the construction partner for HammondCare.

The state-of-the-art residential age care facility was officially opened earlier this week by the Hon Scott Morrison MP, Mike Baird, CEO of HammondCare, Steve Taylor, Founder and Managing Director of TOTAL, Carmelo Pesce, the Sutherland Shire Mayor and Aunty Deanna, who gave The wonderful Welcome to Country address to residents and guests.

 

TOTAL has been working collaboratively with HammondCare for over 8 years and, in that time, has delivered both cottage-style age care communities and vertical models for the organisation. This addition to the HammondCare aged care portfolio will provide residents and their families with a unique combination of homelike warmth coupled with the luxurious elements and building features of a five-star hotel.

Hammondcare Miranda Fast Facts;

• The building contract was $22m
• Commenced in 2020, during the absolute heights of the Covid19 pandemic
• Over 135,200 person-hours of employment on the site
• 3,700m3 of concrete have been used in the structure
• 285 tonne of reinforcing bar
• 41 tonnes of reinforcing mesh
• 2 Km of electrical and data cabling
• 63m of rain fell over the course of the project, with over 2m falling this year alone.
