Central Thermal Plant, Stage 2:
Total Construction successfully completed the design completion and construction of stage 1 of Central Park’s Central Thermal Plant (CTP) and tri-generation facility. Being the first of its kind in Australia for a mixed precinct, this project was highly complex and had many challenging aspects from commencement to completion. Total Construction stepped up to the plate and produced a high-quality, reliable plant which now serves over 1,400 apartments and 13,500m2 of retail space.

Yachting Victoria:
On Wednesday 22 November 2017, Yachting Victoria proudly opened its newly developed State Sailing Centre on Melbourne’s Albert Park Lake following a complete re-development by Total Special Projects.
The Honourable Martin Foley, state member for Albert Park, announced the official opening, and joined me in cutting the ribbon to formally recognise this very important and pleasing milestone for sailing in Victoria.
A great deal of the thanks at this opening went to Total Special Projects and in particular to their two key people involved in the project Bill McClelland and Matt Cripps.
In summary, the project came in on time and within budget, and to a level that exceeded the expectations of all of us that were involved. This included the Yachting Victoria Board, the Project Control Group including state government officials, as well as the building industry experts from Hume Property that were providing expertise and support.
During the quoting process, of which there were several stages, ‘Total’ were entirely understanding of Yachting Victoria’s financial realities, and tailored outcomes accordingly. During this stage, and right throughout the project, flexibility was provided. Whenever cost-cutting was required, sensible solutions were provided. Quality and attention to details was however, never compromised. Innovative solutions were regularly required and in all instances these were workshopped and provided.
Communications with ‘Total’ were absolutely first class and at all times the Project Control Group felt informed and fully engaged with the project and its builder.

Residential Gardens:
Total Construction have recently completed the design and construction of our new Aged Care facility at 420 Woodstock Avenue, Rooty Hill.
Total took over soon after achievement of the DA consent and carried out the works from that point, achieving the Construction Certificate, undertaking the works through to Occupation which occurred recently. The works consisted of 23 state of the art aged care compliant bedrooms; modern reception and lounge area; administrative offices; multi-function rooms and physiotherapy facility. Importantly, the new build connected to our existing facility at 3 points, which required heavy co-ordination, and communication being a live aged care facility.
Aside from usual expectations: timeliness, professional undertaking of the construction works etc, we insisted on a high level of communication and transparency throughout the works. Total delivered on this promise.
3 months prior to completion, we requested Total commit to a date whereby the opening of the building could take place. The commitment was made and the date achieved, where we celebrated the opening of the building in the company of politicians, diplomats, local dignitaries, our staff and of course the Team from Total Construction.
Total have delivered us a building which has exceeded our expectations, is of a high standard of finish and most importantly, have paid strong attention to making sure minor defects are attended to, we have been trained in its operation and are currently preparing a maintenance regime for ongoing care of the building.
Honesty was promised all the way, and when time was tight toward the end of delivery of the project, Total were honest, open and transparent which helped alleviate any fears we had.
I would recommend Total Construction to any prospective Client.
