The Total team continue to display compassion in these difficult times. A team of nine Total Volunteers Steve Taylor, Molly Taylor, Mark Garden, Manda Kempthorne, Mary Duran, Louise Preiss, Yasmine Massad, Jasmin Baker, Jamie Galanos support Hampers of Hope – the Addi Road Christmas Hamper Appeal led by Former Socceroos captain, Mr Craig Foster.

In addition to his spectacular football career, Craig has been Host of SBS’s The World Game, a well-known human rights and refugee ambassador and a major volunteering advocate.

Craig said, “Volunteers have remained on the frontline during the COVID-19 pandemic, whether it be packaging food for those in need, or checking in on the vulnerable”. On the Builders picnic day, 7th December 2020 a team of Volunteers from Total Construction helped the Addi Road Christmas appeal pack Christmas hampers of groceries, bread, fruit, and vegetables for hundreds of at-risk households across Sydney.

The recipients of this volunteer program include at risk young people, people seeking asylum and international students who cannot access JobKeeper or Job Seeker payments, along with Individuals and families who are Indigenous, single parents, homeless, boarding house residents, elderly or sick, sex workers and casual workers who have been left vulnerable as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Addison Road Community Organisation (Addi Road) is a 100% volunteer based not-for-profit fighting for social justice and caring for the environment. One of their major remits is to divert food waste away from land fill to people in need. Addi Rd manage a nine -acre heritage site in the heart of Sydney’s Inner West and has been in operation since 1976.

Each Month, the project successfully diverts 6 tonnes of excess food from Coles, Woolworths, the Bread and Butter project as well as a broad range of supporting food ventures to homes where people less fortunate than us desperately need it.  At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic the project supplied a 1,000 food hampers each week.

You can play your part as well. A donation of $10 buys a box for someone in need as we head into Christmas time. Donate Now
