Extension to an existing aged care facility
Total has been awarded the contract for the construction of a new wing and alterations to the existing facility at Tabulam & Templer’s Home for the Aged (TTHA) in Bayswater.
The scope comprises the addition of a 54 bed extension, including ground floor parking, a new administration area, two levels of residential bedrooms with associated communal lounge and dining areas.
We will also be converting the existing central administration area into a new cinema and cafe, with an outdoor area, remodelling the upper dining room and nurses stations and some residential bedrooms.
All of the works will be completed whilst the facility remains fully operational and is being carried out in multiple stages.
The construction program has been developed to best manage the works and ensure minimal disruption to the residents, staff and visitors frequenting the home, and ensuring maximum bed numbers throughout the construction period.
This is our first project with Tabulam and Templer Homes for the Aged, and our second with designers DCA.
