Refurbishment of an existing aged care facility into 18 Independent Living Units
The project comprises the demolition and strip out of an existing aged care facility which is to be remodelled as 18 Independent Living Units. We are also converting an existing on-site building which will be refurbished as a resident’s common room. The current aged care facility is one of many buildings in this complex operated by Anglicare.
Tight access to the southern side of the building may require the use of a mobile crane to move plant and equipment into the area.
As we are very close to nearby residential buildings, noise levels will need to be considered. We will need to work closely with Anglicare staff and residents to ensure disruptions are kept to a minimum.
Alternate finishes and fixtures will be investigated to provide cost savings along with alterations to the structural and civil design.
