Design and Construction of a new 2-storey self-storage facility
Total was awarded the Design and Construction contract for a new 2-storey self-storage facility in Yarrabilba, QLD.
The project comprised a precast concrete panel construction with concrete slab on ground and lightweight structural steel internal framing. Civil and stormwater works were required on the newly developed block of land. Finishes included Storage King’s synonymous signage.
The facility has being built adjoining an Energex easement which requires constant attention. That, coupled with a consolidated program, means that detailed project planning was essential to ensure a successful outcome for all stakeholders.
This was stage 2 of a possible 3 stage development. Stage 1 was completed by Total – with the same delivery team – in 2018, which provided the client with the confidence of a successful delivery, and the assurance any pre-start planning was minimised for an expeditious start on site.
