Design & Construction of 3x two storey buildings
Total Construction has been awarded the contract for the design and construction of a new storage facility comprising three two storey buildings set on a site directly beside the Bruce Highway at Northlakes.
An early works package for the demolition of an existing building and bulk earthworks was originally issued prior to the main contract being finalised.
Our scope of works includes for a retention basin, concrete slabs on ground and suspended Bondek slab supported on a steel structure. Structural steelwork, including roof framing, is to be erected prior to the Bondek concrete slabs being installed. Lifts are to be installed to two of the buildings.
An office fit-out will complete the works. The finish encompasses a suspended slab over and features exposed services for an industrial look as preferred by the client.
The external build has a variety of metal cladding and features an angled roof front facade.
DA conditions require a Fauna Management Plan to be introduced into the management of the works.
The contract requires for the closest building to the entry to be operational prior Christmas, meaning restricted access to the remaining site.
