Project Specifications
Total has been awarded the Design + Construct contract for Fit Out and Expansion of an existing Storage King facility located in Burwood, Victoria.
Our Scope of Works includes for:
> Fit out of storage units to the existing open warehouse on Level 1.
> Demolition works and the construction of a new Storage King office.
> The upgrade of the existing electrical infrastructure.
> A new roof safety system to provide access to the saw tooth roof areas.
> Sprinkler head replacement works to the entire facility (Basement, Ground and Level 1).
> In excess of 3,210m2 of new storage units which amounts to 230 units being built on Level 1; and
> The external façade will receive a complete refresh to meet Storage King’s new style as well as installation of new signage and fencing.
OVERCOMING CHALLENGES
The facility will remain tenanted during the works, with some tenants remaining in-situ and others relocating.
INNOVATIONS
In order to reduce water ingress into the existing units, a Dropmaster siphoning system will be used ultimately increasing productivity and eliminating the need to use buckets and tarps while replacing heads for the client.
