Cladding Rectification Works

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Total Special Projects has been awarded the contract for the replacement of non-compliant cladding to the exterior façade of the entire building at 240 Plenty Road, Bundoora.

We will be using boom lifts to remove the louvres, non-compliant cladding and glass by hand and installing approved materials within the same day.

The site comprises a mixed use property with a ground level café and restaurant and 5 further levels comprising 39 office suites.

OVERCOMING CHALLENGES

Work zones will be clearly established using temporary fencing, hoarding and temporary barriers.

The property is located on a very busy main road, close to RMITs Bundoora Campus and La Trobe University’s Melbourne Campus so there’s a great deal of vehicle, foot and tram traffic to consider.

The property will remain fully tenanted during the works, with Total working around sensitive tenants such as podiatry, physio and fertility clinics. With this in mind, works will be communicated with the client and tenants as far in advance as practicable.
