Total was awarded the contract to construct a new food production facility for Beak & Johnson City Kitchen.

The scope includes: the construction of a Structural Steel framed warehouse with metal roof sheeting & concrete internal slabs.
The Building Cladding will be a combination of metal & aluminium cladding, PIR Panel Sheeting & Precast Walls.
The Internal warehouse includes High Care & Low Care Production Areas with 2 main racking storage areas & 3 freezers, a retail area and a mezzanine area that will house office spaces, lunchrooms and change rooms.
External work includes 1 main carpark with some parking on the north side of the building & 2 loading docks.

OVERCOMING CHALLENGES
Challenges include Asbestos contaminated grounds & redesign works of the main production area due to client business increasing and expanding the current capacity.

INNOVATIONS
Due to redesign works needed on the project and wet weather delays, the program needed to be resequenced to meet client expectations and requirements.
