Refurbishment and upgrade of an existing building for self storage fit out

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Total will commence the demolition of Building B and the refurbishment and upgrade of Building C on an existing industrial site on Parramatta Road, Lidcombe.

Building B will be fully demolished, including asbestos removal.

Building C will have partial demolition of the ground floor and level 1. The ground floor level will be raised approximately 1.4m above the existing level flood zone.

We will construct 98 ground floor storage units and 104 first floor storage units, and provide ground floor car parking for 8 vehicles, pavements and 2 internal car parks on the first floor.

Two additional ground level loading docks will be built and a new car park entry from Day Street.

We will construct a new office and new unisex sanitary facilities on the ground and first floors.

OVERCOMING CHALLENGES

To better suit vehicles movements around the existing and newly constructed loading docks, the boundaries of Building A have been adjusted.

INNOVATIONS

We assisted the client with unit layout optimisation for the best return on investment and suitable office set up.

We’re currently working on design development options for Stage 2 Building A.
