Storage King Woolloongabba
We’re delighted to share the completion of the Storage King Woolloongabba facility in Brisbane.
This transformation from a former motor vehicle dealership into a state-of-the-art self-storage facility has been remarkable. Re-purposing existing structures and constructing new buildings, the facility spans over 5525m² across two buildings, boasting over 400 storage units of varying sizes, making it an ideal choice for both residential and business storage needs near Buranda and East Brisbane.
Essential infrastructure and key features of the build include:
- Construction of driveways and loading bays
- Easy access to units
- Modern passenger and goods lifts
- Landscaping enhancements to improve the streetscape
- Eye-catching façade, illuminated signage with Storage King’s branding elements
Our team expertly navigated multiple in-ground latent conditions, including complex underpinning works for an 11m high fire wall between buildings. Through collaborative design engineering, we were able to reduce costs and source secured steel from overseas, ensuring the project met both time and budget requirements.

We are proud to showcase our recently completed self-storage development in Brendale, QLD. This project features a 3-storey building with various unit sizes to meet diverse storage needs and a 1-storey building designed specifically for larger items such as boats and vehicles.
Faced with unsuitable soil conditions, we collaborated with Geotech and Civil engineers to conduct thorough soil testing. This led to a cost-effective piled foundation solution that ensures the long-term stability of the building.
In a competitive market, we leveraged our strong relationships with our reliable subcontractor network. When supply challenges arose with timber piles, our team explored alternative foundation methods, ensuring both structural integrity and cost-effectiveness for the development.

It was all celebrations last Friday night, as TOTAL Queensland came away with the prestigious Master Builders Queensland Award in the category of Commercial/Industrial Building ($15-30m Brisbane) for our impressive StoreLocal Berrinba Self Storage project.
This past Sunday, TOTAL team members, along with their family and friends, came together at community locations in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to participate in Australia’s largest tree planting and nature care event: Planet Ark’s National Tree Day.
