Project Update | Precast Installed at BE Campbell
Precast Panels Have Been Installed at BE Campbell
Total Construction has been engaged as Head Contractor for the design and build for the extension for BE Campbell’s pork de-boning facility in Wetherill Park. The project includes upgrades to the facility’s warehouse and cool rooms and construction of a new plant room. BE Campbell have also invested in upgrading staff facilities, including the construction of new amenities, a lunchroom, meeting rooms, PPE Storage rooms and a commercial kitchen for staff to enjoy fresh meals prepared daily.
Over the weekend, 20 precast panels were successfully installed for the new plantroom using a 150T crane, with one of the larger panels weighing up to 13T. The team coordinated with BE Campbell, neighbours and surveyors in the lead up to ensure an effective and safe installation. The team is now preparing for the structural steel to be lifted next week.
The project will enhance the facility’s operations, raising the standards in quality, efficiency and safety of meat production in Australia. Construction is expected to be completed in October 2025.
