Project Completion | Rocklea Remedial Works
The Queensland delivery team recently completed the remediation of an existing industrial facility in Rocklea, Queensland.
The works included:
- Full replacement of the roof structure and supporting steelwork.
- Temporary works and propping to maintain stability of remaining building elements.
- Full replacement of glulam portal frames.
- Upgrading access systems.
- Major civil remediation with screw piles being tied back to existing footings to stabilise the structure.
The team navigated several challenges, including structural discrepancies identified through as-built surveys and coordination issues between piling and panel clearances, requiring design adjustments.
Tallying over 6,700 hours worked, the project was completed with 0 recordable safety incidents across a high-risk scope.

It was all celebrations last Friday night, as TOTAL Queensland came away with the prestigious Master Builders Queensland Award in the category of Commercial/Industrial Building ($15-30m Brisbane) for our impressive StoreLocal Berrinba Self Storage project.
This past Sunday, TOTAL team members, along with their family and friends, came together at community locations in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to participate in Australia’s largest tree planting and nature care event: Planet Ark’s National Tree Day.
