Project Completion | HammondCare Caufield
Total Special Projects is excited to announce the successful completion of the Multi-Purpose Building at HammondCare’s Caulfield Aged Care Community Village. Completed in October 2024, this new facility enhances services for residents, while the existing Art Studio remained fully operational throughout construction.
The project, delivered under a Construct Only contract, involved demolishing sections of the west wall of the Art Studio and relocating essential in-ground services, including stormwater, drainage, and irrigation. The new building features a steel frame on a concrete slab, with distinctive windows, cladding, and brickwork. Additionally, new wet and dry fire services, along with data and security systems, were integrated into the existing infrastructure to meet modern safety and functionality standards.
This project builds upon our longstanding partnership with HammondCare, following our award-winning work at HammondCare Miranda in NSW, which earned the Master Builder’s Excellence in Construction Award 2023.
We are incredibly proud of our team for delivering this high-quality, purpose-driven space that will benefit HammondCare’s residents and staff for years to come.

It was all celebrations last Friday night, as TOTAL Queensland came away with the prestigious Master Builders Queensland Award in the category of Commercial/Industrial Building ($15-30m Brisbane) for our impressive StoreLocal Berrinba Self Storage project.
This past Sunday, TOTAL team members, along with their family and friends, came together at community locations in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to participate in Australia’s largest tree planting and nature care event: Planet Ark’s National Tree Day.
