Construction of a 4-storey storage facility
Total Construction was awarded the contract for the construction of a new 4-storey self storage facility.
The facility was primarily constructed from suspended slabs, block work, structural steel, metal roofing and metal cladding.
Works included large pad footings, slab on ground, concrete columns, suspended concrete slabs, structural steel framing, metal roofing and external cladding. Lift shafts and stairwells are protected by block work for structural requirements and stability.
Office fit out works included for a meeting room and offices, staff amenities and an array of display cabinets.
The external of the building has differing types of metal cladding and feature panel cladding to provide the aesthetic appeal to suit the structure and clients needs.
Access and control to multi-storey construction is always a challenge. Through high levels of safety control and detailed planning processes, the construction of such buildings is achievable both smoothly and effectively.
