Design, engineering and construction of a new bakery facility.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Total Construction worked with Laurent Boulangerie early in the process to provide a detailed scope to enable early demolition works to start immediately while detailed design was completed.

The internal fit-out of the site came with significant challenges and new innovative installation methods needed to be incorporated.

Scope of works included:

  • Detailed design of roof support columns to be incorporated into non-food-manufacturing areas.
  • Development of specification for structural/civil works.
  • Brownfield site works after plant and equipment installed.
  • Traditional building construction as well as manufacturing process equipment installation.

With the commencement of early demolition works, we were able to complete the design and provide innovative installation methods which enabled occupancy of the building with equipment commissioning and the launch of the product as planned.

This state-of-the-art bread facility incorporated leading-edge, stone-baked, artisan bread plant/equipment technology which ensured Laurent Boulangerie has the capacity to meet current and future production forecasts and growth strategies.
