Conversion and alterations to an old dilapidated 4 storey Commonwealth laboratory building
Total Construction was engaged to convert an old 4 storey Commonwealth laboratory building into a Kennards Self Storage facility in Pymble, located in the upper north shore of Sydney.
The strip out works have already been completed by the client. Our scope comprises of the refurbishment of the building and complete self storage fit out as well as construction of a new access bridge from the main entry to the administration office and loading dock.
We are also required to undertake a full external clean of the building and reparation of concrete cancer as well as a complete clean up of the Asset Protection Zone to meet bush fire protection regulations.
Access to the rear of the building, which at 4 storey stands 15m high will prove a challenge as there is no access for mechanical equipment. The work may be completed by ‘abseiling’ down the building.
