Cladding Rectification Works

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Total Special Projects was awarded the contract for the removal
and disposal of the ground floor combustible canopy materials and their replacement with compliant products at 358A South Road, Moorabbin.

Built in 2011, the building comprises 55 one bedroom and 20 two
bedroom apartments over five levels above the previously owned
City of Kingston council car park. The development retains 37
public car parking spaces at ground level. The property is a feature on South Road, a major thoroughfare of the Moorabbin business district.

OVERCOMING CHALLENGES

The property remained fully tenanted during the works, and all
works were communicated with the client and tenants as far in
advance as practicable.

Daily work zones were established, managed and dismantled in
line with the City of Kingston council requirements.

This is our fourth project with HousingFirst, following on from
the successful completion of two social housing developments
and the recent award of cladding rectification works at a housing
development in Ashwood.
