Project Specifications
As part of their significant refurbishment program HammondCare engaged Total care to perform Significant Refurbishment works to their small-house model care homes at their site in Woy Woy, and in the process reasserting their major focus on dementia-specific innovation, homes and services. The HammondCare Model of Care focuses on social relationships through the physical environment. These principles and features were an essential requirement for the success of this project . Working with the design teams, Total care successfully performed the works by undertaking Refurbishment of ensuites, Replacement of existing light fittings, Complete refurbishment of existing serveries in dining areas, Complete refurbishment of Back of House Pantries adjacent Kitchen Serveries, Minor refurbishment to Cottage Laundry Areas, replacement of curtains to common areas and resident rooms, replacement of floor coverings throughout including carpet and vinyl floors followed by Complete internal repainting throughout.
INNOVATIONS:
Total Care was very excited to be part of the HammondCare strategy for refreshing their dementia care homes. The works required detailed planning and coordination with the HammondCare onsite management team to mitigate the impact on the residents. Coordination required to be extremely flexible in dealing with the numerous issues created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
