Refurbishment of an existing Child Care Centre
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project comprised a partial refurbishment of Think Childcare’s existing Cranbourne facility.
The scope included for the relocation of stud and plaster walls to create a new and refreshed layout, new timber feature atelier rooms (arts and crafts) and new flooring throughout.
A new reception area, staff planning room and managers office were constructed, as well as an extension to their existing kitchen.
Existing bathrooms were refurbished with new sanitary ware. New joinery units were installed throughout the facility.
This is our second project for Think Child Care. We have previously completed similar works at their Port Melbourne facility in 2019.
OVERCOMING CHALLENGES
For the facility to remain fully operational, we completed works outside of operating hours (overnight / weekends). After each shift, a thorough clean meant the facility was ready to host 80 children per day without compromise.
