Extension to the existing boat shed
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project comprised the extension of the existing boat shed at Yachting Victoria’s premises on Aquatic Drive in the Albert Park Reserve.
Works included for the installation of a new lift to meet BCA compliance and the extension of the first floor to create additional office amenities and new state of the art training room facilities. We also constructed new male and female change-rooms.
The boat shed now offers members a functional and modern environment for all types of occasions.
Upon completion of the works, Cherry Birch – president of Yachting Victoria – commented ‘the project came in on time and within budget and to a level that exceeded the expectations of all us that were involved… Communications with ‘Total’ were absolutely first class and at all times the Project Control Group felt informed and fully engaged with the project and its builder.’
Yachting Victoria is part of Yachting Australia (there are 8 divisions across all states) which provides a range of services and support to it’s 90 member clubs statewide. Services include discovering and learning to sail in a wide range of vessels from tackers through to powerboats and caters for all ages.
