Construction of 2 residential aged care facilities and community centre

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project comprises the construction of a residential aged care facilities (RACF), a central facility building including laundry, commercial kitchen and back of house areas.  We will also be constructing an administration building and a community centre inclusive of café, multi-purpose rooms and an auditorium. A central communal area will connect the two RACF buildings.

Both RACFs are similar in construction with slab on ground, first floor is suspended slab and the roof is a truss structure. Each RACF is made of 3 separate fire compartments. The internal finishes are domestic in nature to provide a homely feel for the residents.

The central facilities and administration building structure is similar to that of the RACF Buildings, the main variance being the internal finishes, where a more commercial finish is applicable to the interior.

The community centre is constructed of structural steel and tilt up panelling, along with core filled blockwork.  The internal finishes are driven by acoustic performance for the auditorium and are commercial for the café and multi-purpose rooms.
