Construction of a 4-storey storage facility.
Total Construction has been awarded the contract for the construction of a new 4-storey self storage facility which will primarily be constructed from suspended slabs, blockwork, structural steel, metal roofing and metal cladding.
The project is to be carried out in one stage. Works include large pad footings, slab on ground, concrete columns, suspended concrete slabs, structural steel framing, metal roofing and external claddings. Lift shafts and stairwells are protected by blockwork for structural requirements and stability.
Office fit out works include for a meeting room and offices, staff amenities and an array of display cabinets.
The external of the building has differing types of metal cladding and feature panel cladding to provide the aesthetic appeal to suit the structure and client needs.
Access and control to multi-storey construction is always a challenge. Through high levels of safety control and detailed planning processes, the construction of such buildings is achievable both smoothly and effectively.
