Construction of 4 Level, 126 Bed Aged Care Facility
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Total has been awarded construction of TriCare’s flagship aged care residence in Williams Landing, Victoria.
This 4 level, 126 bed facility will feature both communal and private dining areas and lounges, a wine bar, in-house cinema and a glass conservatory.
A commercial grade kitchen and laundry will service the facility. Residents will be able to enjoy landscaped gardens, large terrace areas and a potter in the greenhouse, as well as panoramic views towards the wetlands sanctuary.
The construction will comprise a concrete and steel structure with post tensioned floor slabs. External finishes are mixture of stone, glass and sheet cladding.
All residents rooms will have their own kitchenette with stone bench tops and feature fabric walls and high end joinery finishes.
OVERCOMING CHALLENGES
As our client is based in QLD, we’re installing a remote access system which will allow stakeholders to view onsite activities at any given time
INNOVATIONS
A prototype room has already been constructed in QLD which replicates what we will be building locally. This allows the TriCare Operations Team to ensure the rooms are fully functional prior to construction commencing. This room will also be used as the benchmark for the quality of finishes we are expecting.
