Construction of a new 5 storey storage facility
Total has been engaged to deliver the construction of a new 5 storey storage facility. The facility will be primarily construction from suspended slabs, blockwork, structural steel, metal roofing and metal cladding.
Works include slab on ground, concrete columns, tilt up concrete panels, suspended concrete slabs, structural steel framing, metal roofing and external claddings. Lift shafts and stairwells are protected by blockwork for structural requirements and stability.
An office will be located on the ground floor and will be fitted out with a meeting room and offices, staff amenities and an array of display cabinets.
The external of the building has different types of metal cladding, tilt up concrete panels, louvres and feature CFC cladding to provide the aesthetic appeal to suit the structure and client needs.
Access and control to multi-storey construction is always a challenge. This will be overcome through high levels of safety control and a detailed planning and programming process.
