Design and Construction of a new production room & packing room to house equipment at the Tip Top Bakery

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Total Construction has delivered a new production room, packing room, grain seed storage, wash station and structural steel mezzanine.

The room has been predominantly constructed out of structural steel and PIR panel with an epoxy floor to finish the room.

Demolition works such as cutting the existing slab and tilt up panels has been required prior to starting fit out.

Services works for the project include:

> New HVAC system including package units and new evaporative coolers

> New lighting and power throughout including a new Distribution Board

> New hydraulic services where required including installation of a new 5000L grease trap.

Total has also assisted with the relocation of a large silo currently located at the facility.

OVERCOMING CHALLENGES

The primary challenge has been working in a live food safe environment. This has been overcome with good communication between key stakeholders.

INNOVATIONS

Total completed a similar build for this client at Slacks Creek. Using lessons learned from that project we have delivered the client an excellent product with some cost savings along the way.
