Refurbishment of an existing transit lounge and bus stops.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Total Construction was engaged to refurbish and re-brand the existing long-term car park located at Sydney International Airport.

The existing long-term car park underwent an extensive upgrade and re-branding, with the facility now known as the Blu Emu Car Park.

The project scope included the refurbishment of the existing transit lounge and associated rooms, including partitions, upgraded services, façade cladding, high tensile awning, windows and doors.

The refurbishment of the existing 12 bus stops was completed in two stages and included new awnings and associated footings, new ramps and handrails, asphalting and line marking.

OVERCOMING CHALLENGES

We were required to carry out works in stages to minimise disruptions to passengers. Stage 1 comprised isolating car spaces, fencing off alternate bus stops and completing all the works, including certification, prior to commencing Stage 2.
