BCA compliance and refurbishments works

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Total Construction was awarded the contract for the upgrade works to two commercial properties sharing one title in Hawthorn, Victoria. The works comprised the upgrade and refurbishment of a ground floor lobby, the refurbishment of a first level lift lobby, the replacement of existing external balustrades with new BCA compliant balustrades and replacement walkways.

CHALLENGES & INNOVATIONS

The buildings were sold at the end of August 2014 which meant we had to work to a very tight program; with the works carried out concurrently to ensure completion without compromise.

With a percentage of the works being carried out at height, we ensured the absolute safety of construction personnel and the general public.
